my favorite viet restaurant in tampa as a viet person. their com đui ga (fried rice with chicken thigh) is such a juicy and classic meal that i always order every visit. their service is always very helpful and nice and their new interior design is so cozy 10/10 such a gem

This place exceeded my expectations! The food is amazing and the staff are so welcoming. When we were unsure about what to order, the owner kindly offered us a sample of their broth, which really helped us decide. The service is top-notch and the food is fantastic. Definitely recommend!

First time here with my husband, food was very delicious! We waited for 15-20 minutes for the food to be served. The restaurant was kinda busy on Sunday. I ordered Bun Bo Hue, he ordered broken rice with ribs. Spring roll and chicken feet for an appetizer. We ended up ordering another Pho and Bun ca to go for Mom and she loved it! We will come back here for Vietnamese food!

My mom and I are visiting from Orlando this weekend and we are Vietnamese so we needed our little Vietnamese food fix while being away from home. We were so blown away how delicious everything was here! Everything felt and tasted authentic and the atmosphere felt as if I was at my grandmas (Ba’s) home. Not only was the food amazing but the service was incredible. We had 2 severs only one I remembered the name was Hoang. Both were so great at informing us on which dishes we should try. We ended up getting the Com Chien (No.7 Fried rice), Bun Thit (No.7 Vermicelli noodle pork bowl) and my mom got the Cafe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee). Service was very attentive and checking up on us and even offered to give us a small sample of the Pho and Bun Bo Hue broth to try and it was delicious. My mom was also having a stubborn cough and the server came over without asking and brought over hot water and cough drops which was very sweet. If we lived in the area we would be here every week but definitely recommend and will be back when visiting Tampa!

I had an incredible meal at Gao Restaurant! The pho was rich and flavorful, with a perfectly balanced broth and fresh ingredients. The spring rolls were equally amazing—light, fresh, and packed with great flavors. The overall experience was fantastic, from the quality of the food to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine, this place is a must-visit! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Loved my experience at Gao! The customer service was amazing. Our server was super friendly and took the time to explain the special dishes and how they’re usually eaten. The place is really clean and the food was so good. They also had some extra dishes on the menu that I haven’t seen at other spots, which was a nice surprise. Definitely coming back!

So many great things to say about this restaurant! The ingredients are fresh and the food is full of flavor. We ordered the Hot Stone Pot and enjoyed every bite! The staff is very friendly and everything about this place screams family owned. Exactly what we have been looking for. We will be back!

Excellent food made with love and care, very fresh ingredients well-prepared, with friendly and attentive service. The lotus root salad was delicious with a variety of ingredients accompanied by crispy shrimp crackers, culantro was a nice touch to accompany the pho, the sprouts were blanched a little before serving, and the summer rolls had roast pork along with fresh shrimp. All thoughtful touches demonstrating higher attention to detail than most Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to in the US.
